History Channel - “Herstory”

 

For too long, history has ignored the stories and contributions of Women, and the History Channel is no exception. Beginning with Women’s History Month, we will launch the Herstory Channel, focusing on the amazing women who have made waves throughout time.

History can no longer ignore us.

She will be heard.

Our official announcement of the channel takeover will coincide with the Women’s March, standing in solidarity with the ongoing struggle.

MANIFESTO/ANTHEM SPOT

Beginning on the day of the Women’s March, we’ll begin the unveiling of Herstory’s takeover with social posts from influencers at the forefront of modern feminism.

These quotes will go up as OOH billboards, illustrating how prominent men throughout the ages have belittled and oppressed women. Though these posters will live alone, each is connected by the timeline that runs through them, showing how this is not only an ancient problem but a modern one, too.

Original Series

It wasn’t enough to just do the same old History Channel with female-led versions of their existing shows. So we created all historical dramas from scratch, focusing on both well-known and oft-forgotten women throughout history.
